Someone Emailed me:
Pictures for Sad Children took down its entire archives out of protest at the general public's reading the comics but not paying for them. He is demanding 37 people sign up to pay him $20/month: http://picturesforsadchildren.com/
Actually, I want to see if he's going to increment the total number of donors from 7 to 8, since I just signed up yesterday. Maybe there was attrition from a previous donor, so it ended up being a wash.
There are a lot of rumors circulating about what exactly happened with this guy. Some say he suffered a nervous breakdown and deleted all this archives; others say that after he spent on DMT the money people gave him for his books, he then started burning one of his books for every email he got inquiring about order status.
It was also said that he held Wikipedia hostage by threatening to delete his archives unless they deleted their article about him. A lot of the editors were actually voting to delete the article in order to appease him, apparently because they were fans who wanted to his work to be brought back online. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Pictures_for_Sad_Children
I don't know anything about this person or his webcomic, so can someone please update the article? --JuniusThaddeus 13:35, 1 November 2016 (EDT)
