Thizz in peace, our hyphy overlord.

Welcome to the Thizzlehat Junction Center. This is your place to mention news and anything needing adminly attention. You can also use the shortcut TJC.

While you wait for attention, have a look at what needs to be done around here by clicking the shiny blue links below.

Real-time discussion about ED content and/or help from an ED Sysop can be found at #wiki and #ed on IRC. Check your fear, drama and faggotry at the door.

About ED

Fashioned in the spirit of Ambrose Bierce's The Devil's Dictionary, Encyclopedia Dramatica's purpose is to provide a central catalog for the e-public to view parody and satire of drama, memes, e-pals, and other interesting happenings on the Internets. Our goal is to provide comprehensive, reference-style parody, to poke fun at everyone and everything. You can read more about the origin of Encyclopedia Dramatica in our About section.

Before making any contributions, be sure you have read over all of our policies. We will not hesitate to revert any idiotic edits and call you out for your stupidity.

Ways to Help

User Groups

See the User Group Rights page showing the rights of the users of each group. The group you're in dictates what your privileges are on ED.

All are welcome, as long as you read and agree to the General disclaimer. The only real requirement is to create an emailconfirmed account to edit articles. ED doesn't support anonymous editing. (IP addresses)

  • Got a lulzworthy subject you feel needs to be written about? Submit it to the Needed/Proposed page and someone might pick it up. Make sure you check to see if there's already an article about the subject first.
  • Ask questions at the Thizzlehat Junction Center.

  • Write an article. This is the best thing you can do for ED.
  • Check the Bad New Articles portal to see if there's anything that ought to be expanded or cleaned up.
  • Check the list of wanted articles. This is automatically generated when two or more pages contain links to a page that doesn't yet exist.

Front page

  • Add images to articles, or upload better versions of wanted images. Make sure you give your image a detailed name instead of a bunch of symbols or numbers so search engines can actually find them and link to them easier.
  • Browse though unused images and files and find homes for them. Do not delete or put death notices on duplicate images, use the {{duplicate}} template instead.

  • Categorize articles. We have a list of existing categories and a list of uncategorized articles. To add an article to a category, click that page's edit link and at the bottom of the entry, type [[Category:'''(name of category)''']] and click "Save Page." Use the "Show Preview" button to make sure you typed a category that exists (red links mean you failed). Do not create new categories.
  • Rotate a Portal. Seriously, this would be highly appreciated. The goal is to have each one changed once every two weeks or so. Anyone can do this.

Request editor privileges

If you're interested in helping out further, request editor privs, assuming you've been around for a couple months or have otherwise proved yourself.

Editors are able to move and edit protected pages. They are expected to help maintain the Main Page. If you're a recently promoted editor and are unsure about something, ask for assistance. Don't be afraid of making mistakes.

  • Check to make sure all the XOTN are set for the Main Page
  • Review NewFiles for content that violates ED Policy. Editors can tag content with {{delete}}.

Administrators have all of the Editor tools, along with the ability to delete pages, edit the user interface, and ræp users. If you have any questions about anything on ED, talk to them. They're here to help you.

  • Also, all of the Editor tasks apply to you as well.

Once again about racemixing gallery

This is to continue a discussion that had previous taken place here. Okay, so after I started uploading some new files for then race-mixing gallery

A user "meepsheep" banned me halfway through, okay I understand he has personal vendetta with me, but lemme at least finnish uploading, isn't it more convenient to have one user uploading the whole set than two users doing the same but interchangeably? It's rather easier to access the whole set by looking at contributions of single user who had uploaded them. Okay, so I finished uploading them by another account. Then I myself single-handedly removed a lot of pics from the gallery, only leaving a few. The rest of pics I wanted to separate into different page (talkpage in this case), which I did. Now the original race-mixing gallery has little pics, just how some of admins wanted, then only was left to add a reference in the article to the bigger gallery, but it was too late for me to do it as I was banned again. Seriously, wtf? And to answer the question "why there need to be a big gallery with all these pics", the answer is quite simple: all these pics are stored on ED anyway, so let's make them all accessible at least. Or would you prefer having a lot of pics just for the sake of it? No, it's more useful for the navigation sake if all these pics are somehow accessible. That's why I was trying to do it. I understood that meepsheep won't let me add all them into article's gallery (because he's actually butthurt about these pics), so I tried to separate them but he didn't let me finish even that! Fine, ban me for whatever time you want, just lemme finnish and you only be seeing the dust left of my footsteps.
so the final question is: are all ED admins unanimous on meepsheep's destructive decision which is about restraining all possible ways of providing an access to all the uploaded interracial pics thus making it easier to see them all at a sitting.

Just let me one more edit, don't do it for me, do it for the sake of ED. Because after all I'm making ED better a little bit. This one edit can slightly improve ED, making a junk of pics accessible at a talkpage of a related article. And don't be afraid to have a different opinion that meepsheep's has on this (because you'd prefer to avoid confrontation with your "friend", but as for me friends who're afraid to speak up their mind worth a damn), that's how democracy works. You should be afraid of letting one to speak for you all because this is how liberty dies and tyranny replaces it. It's like I have constructed some figure off sand on a beach and some naughty kid (meepshep) run through my figure deliberately just for his own pleasure, while he did damage to such a scrupulous prowess. uploading over

Permissions for uploading over files has been set to editors and sysops only, as there is a lot of potential for abuse the previous way. Those of you from will remember that is how it was there and it worked well. The difference here is that we have the editor user group that dot com didn't have.

There are still a ton of thumbnails still that need to be replaced with their larger versions. If you need to upload over a file you can leave it for a sysop to do or you can apply for editorship yourself. --zaiger (talk) 01:56, 4 April 2012 (EDT)

Would it be by default or something that the user has to enable themselves? It it's the former than yeah I don't mind, but if it will show up for everyone all the time then we will have to discuss it more.--zaiger (talk) 01:44, 6 April 2012 (EDT)

i am unable to create it. also, i dont see 'enable widgets' in the preferences... its probably better to drop this. :) -hipcrime Emote Pop tart cat.gif 02:44, 6 April 2012 (EDT)
Gadgets is actually an extension (which we dont have). And wikipedia uses like mediawiki 1.19. I havent looked at gadget but it probably wont work on ed without a wiki upgrade. --TKN 00:15, 9 April 2012 (EDT)
Wikipedia and ED both use Mediawiki v1.18.* --zaiger (talk) 20:37, 23 April 2012 (EDT)
mediawikiwiki:Extension:Gadgets states that MediaWiki 1.17 or later is required. --JuniusThaddeus 20:51, 23 April 2012 (EDT)
Addendum: Can someone please set $wgAllowUserCss and $wgAllowUserJs to "true"? That'll be more helpful for those who wish to customize their browsing and editing experience, especially since gadgets basically need be approved by sysops. --JuniusThaddeus 20:57, 23 April 2012 (EDT)
Yeah I don't see why not. Give me a bit to talk to e about it to make sure there aren't any security issues with it first. --zaiger (talk) 03:25, 24 April 2012 (EDT)

Real life GTA in Nashville

A man has committed more than 1 felony per hour since arriving in Nashville, Tennessee. He held 4 hostages at gunpoint and robbed them, but not before tazing at least two. That was just the start of his wild night of hedonism, arson, and battery (his list of crimes is available at link). To cap things off, he went to a local law office, shat on the desk and smeared his feces on their degrees.

Ok so I guess this will get us blacklisted or something don't don't so it. ALSO, it appears that rollbacking removes the advanced meta (title/keywords/description) from whatever pages it is used on. Apparently you can add the keyword "nigger dicks" to every page on ED via Mediawiki:Globalkeywords. Not sure if you want to do that instead. OhInternet and the Daily Dot – Apparently, OhInternet is upset about the sources used in our Wikipedia article:

We’ll start with a website known as “The Daily Dot,” which, according to Wikipedia (yes, I’m quite aware of the irony here,) is an online newspaper that covers internet topics. It aims to be the “hometown newspaper” of the internet. The site was started by a pop musician who, as far as we can tell, has no background in journalism whatsoever (Fact-checking? What’s that?) This site came to light when one of their writers spewed hundreds upon hundreds of words about the hilarious ShitRedditSays subreddit, most of them ill-informed. A cursory search indicates that The Daily Dot is cited as a reference on a handful of Wikipedia articles, despite being little more than an internet rumors blog masquerading as a legitimate news source. More damning is the fact that the site seems to think the “Men’s Rights” movement is valid and not filled to the brim with misogynistic hate groups.

--JuniusThaddeus 11:25, 20 April 2012 (EDT)

They just mad that we are mentioned in the Wikipedia ED article. Daily dot has had numerous notability hearings or whatever they call it. More Pro-censorship OhInternet propaganda. --zaiger (talk) 16:09, 20 April 2012 (EDT)
While a lot of shitty 'news source' wannabe blogs actually manage to do this all the time, DD doesn't go too far with it. Grab any side of an issue (usually the more popular side), endorse it while maintaining a forced 'professional' tone throughout the blog post, and suddenly you're a legitimate news source. The more controversial the (usually feminist) issue is, the more you rile people into increasing your traffic, regardless of any research (or lack thereof) put into it.
I don't find these guys as bad as OhShit claims them to be. It's just as Zaiger said, they're just buttmad we got coverage, and they could've called out several other poser sites that actually deserve this kind of contempt. It should be OhI's supposed line of work just as much as its ours, but this is exactly what it means to envy something that's doing far better than you. - Vinland 16:39, 20 April 2012 (EDT) – Killhamster also has a Wikipedia account. --JuniusThaddeus 17:11, 24 April 2012 (EDT)

@One_With_The_Lulz: – koavf became the first Wikipedian to make over one million revisions. – Lynn Neary says the following on NPR:

Good morning. I'm Lynn Neary. There's a good chance you've seen the work of 30-year-old Justin Knapp, even if you've never heard of him. That's because he's a prolific editor on Wikipedia. In fact, he just became the first Wikipedia user to make one million edits. But Knapp may be a dying breed. Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales says the number of editors contributing to the online encyclopedia is on the decline. Apparently they've all grown up and found better things to do with their time.

NickCT becomes offended by the "Apparently they've all grown up and found better things to do with their time" joke and whines in the comments section about how Wikipedians such as himself are soooo important to life, the universe, and everything. NickCT then complains to Jimbo:

In the process, NickCT blames Renee Montagne instead of Lynn Neary. NickCT's comment is followed by a bunch of Wikipedians claiming that NPR and the world should hold them in higher esteem. --JuniusThaddeus 10:50, 21 April 2012 (EDT)

Try as you might, you can't beat reality

Good feature article about weev. Leading me to TOW. Leading me to the website. Leading me to learn that, in a rare show of Afghan-American solidarity, DynCorp helped Afghan warlords traffic in little boys for sexual favors. Apparently Bacha bazi is standard practice throughout Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan... another big win for the religion of peace. Apparently Islam and Omaha aren't so different after all. Any country, any religion, any ideology, any war... all just one big joke in the end. How can you ever beat that? Wnt 00:04, 23 April 2012 (EDT)

Raping boys transcends political and religious boundaries.--zaiger (talk) 03:42, 24 April 2012 (EDT)

What the fuck is wrong with people?

[1]. I mean, a mob of twenty big hairy well-hung Negroes could have put this little bitch in his place more effectively with routine little acts of kindness, and instead of being in a hospital he'd be sittin' out on his front porch in a pretty pink dress, with a coy little smile on his face, smokin' a cigarette and talkin' to the reporters about which of the 20 phone numbers on his fridge he's gonna call first in the name of improving race relations. At least, except when the Preparation H starts to run out and needs to be reapplied, then he might be a little cranky. And the only reason why our society doesn't do things that way instead of this way (i.e. expen$ive medical bills coming out of our tax money) is why? Because unlike permanent brain damage, rape is seriously illegal? How fucked up is that? :) Wnt 14:11, 24 April 2012 (EDT)

OggHandler installed

I've just installed Extension:OggHandler, so if any of you have the missing .ogg files from the old wiki please reupload them and let me know if everything is working as it should be.--zaiger (talk) 17:11, 24 April 2012 (EDT)

i tried this with File:LUKA MAGNOTTA GAY PORN.OGG but it returns a 500 error when i try to play it. -hipcrime Emote Pop tart cat.gif 23:15, 24 April 2012 (EDT)

QOTN Suggestion

Wikipedia should not be underestimated as the primary source to create "established truths".

You have a man-crush on him, don't you? Do you dream of bromance while furiously masturbating to his Google results? --zaiger (talk) 18:21, 24 April 2012 (EDT)
His face is like that of a beautiful porcelain-doll; only not as easy to wipe clean. - Mr Jonzz Ae2.png 18:29, 24 April 2012 (EDT)
Suggest putting him in a cell with an al-Qaida member, and dropping in the gay bomb. Wnt 19:06, 24 April 2012 (EDT)
Fuck, what do you think the odds are that the Pentagon actually worked out the fine details of the gay bomb at Guantanamo Bay? Unfortunately the Bush administration was too anti-gay and the Obama administration was too anti-war crime, but maybe there was a window of opportunity right in the middle to do some serious science? Uploading Full Images Broken

For the past x months I've been uploading full images from the Category:Pages Needing Full Images list or when I find a missing image in an article. I've just started doing it again and correct me if I'm wrong but I am sure that when going to the thumbnail or missing image page there was an option to "upload another version of this file" or something like that, but that option seems to have disappeared. So at moment you have to rename the full image which kind of makes doing it a bit pointless 'cos the article pages will still point to the thumbnail, and not the renamed full image. Could this be fixed ? or am I just remembering the process wrong ? Thanks  TUXLIE  20:01, 28 April 2012 (EDT)

reuploading images is disabled for normal users. I think you need to have editor to reupload.TKN 21:38, 28 April 2012 (EDT)
Yeah I will give you privs to upload over images. --zaiger (talk) 21:42, 28 April 2012 (EDT)
also, you could upload with a new filename, for example: tack a "1" at the end, and then edit the article accordingly. :) -hipcrime Emote Pop tart cat.gif 21:43, 28 April 2012 (EDT)

Why was overriding old files disabled? When did this happen? --JuniusThaddeus 22:13, 28 April 2012 (EDT)

earlier this month. Zaiger said thats how it was on .com TKN 22:17, 28 April 2012 (EDT)
It was disabled on the original ED, but I don't believe that it should be done here. We shouldn't limit the freedom of users. --JuniusThaddeus 22:31, 28 April 2012 (EDT)
  • Smart move. It'll keep butthurt faggots from replacing caps with shit pics. Are you butthurt?Hello.jpg BAWWW here. 22:19, 28 April 2012 (EDT)
It's reversible. It can be reverted just like any other form of vandalism. --JuniusThaddeus 22:31, 28 April 2012 (EDT)
"We shouldn't limit the freedom of users" I lol'd. There has been a lot of uploading-over vandalism lately. It's staying that way. If someone needs privs they can just ask for them. --zaiger (talk)
Why was everyone, including me, kept out of the loop on this? --JuniusThaddeus 22:51, 28 April 2012 (EDT)
it's been up there^ for over three weeks. :\ -hipcrime Emote Pop tart cat.gif 04:40, 29 April 2012 (EDT)
There isn't a loop to be kept out of. I posted it on TJC as soon as I did it. Sorry I don't know your home number to call you for permission every time I plan on changing a configuration. --zaiger (talk) 22:45, 29 April 2012 (EDT)
Alright. --JuniusThaddeus 23:41, 29 April 2012 (EDT)
#uploading over btw TKN 16:26, 3 May 2012 (EDT)
Thanks for giving me privs to continue to upload images Zaigler. You have made me one happy bunny  TUXLIE  23:22, 4 May 2012 (EDT)

April Vox Dramatica

hello. the time has come to select a winnar for April's VD prize. plz make your nominations below, and my own is:

  • Sirkillsalot. Sir K, or SKA for short, has restored many articles from, for which no source is available. from experience, i can tell you that this is a pain in the ass to do, and he does it without hesitation when i ask. for this reason, and his other contribs, i am nominating SKA for April's VD prize. :3 -hipcrime Emote Pop tart cat.gif 20:36, 30 April 2012 (EDT)
    • I concur... Sirkillsalot is a pretty cool EDitor. Eh restores lots of articles and doesn't afraid of anything. - Mr Jonzz Ae2.png 04:19, 1 May 2012 (EDT)

I jack off to your rage

note: i would be remiss if i failed to mention that Sirkillsalot is not the only editor worthy of this award. he has, however, worked very hard on articles that are not easy to restore and that caught my eye. we have a great crew, and i haven't overlooked the great contribs from all. im looking at you Elvis. you too Cleveland Bay II - Return Of Cleveland Bay. stay tuned to TJC for upcoming candidates for May. :D -hipcrime Emote Pop tart cat.gif 18:00, 1 May 2012 (EDT) [edited] 00:09, 2 May 2012 (EDT)

Mission Statement

Does the new .ch/.se ED have a mission statement? I'm checking Category:ED Policy but not seeing it. I'm wondering if perhaps so we could understand policy better there might be a guide of what articles people should read, in what order, when familiarizing themselves with the wiki. Even as a long-time editor, there can be a false sense of how things work based on misconceptions or ignorance of ongoing changes. The policy category is sort of a buckshot and difficult to approach. Also, I think it would be cool if the ToC for Thizzlehat was aligned to the right side at the top of this page so that people could click stuff more easily. I know there's a template or command or something for that but I don't remember my wikicoding enough to do it and figured would get permission first. Tymec 00:45, 3 May 2012 (EDT)

Our mission statement is here. Mike the Great (talk) 00:47, 3 May 2012 (EDT)
